What’s the first thing you do when you’re considering buying something? Read the reviews?
But how often do you actually leave them – even if you love a product?
I am guilty of very rarely doing this, even though I know how much they help.
Recently in the E5 community, Alan Cassinelli (Brand and Product marketing at Blaze.ai) shared a template that worked so well, they added it to their regular email cadence after their first test.
Here’s the copy:
Subject line: Can I buy you lunch?
Hi [first_name],
I wanted to reach out and say thank you for being a Blaze customer! I'm excited that you are loving Blaze and see the value in all it can do.
I have a quick favor to ask: Can you review Blaze on Capterra for me?
As I'm sure you know, customer reviews are so important for every type of business, and we're trying to grow Blaze to help more entrepreneurs and owners like you.
As a token of my appreciation, I'd love to buy you your next lunch ($20 to your PayPal).
We are limiting this offer to just the first 20 people so if you'd like to take advantage of it, I recommend taking 5 minutes to do it right now: Review Blaze on Capterra
Once you do, just reply to this email with a screenshot of your submission and my team will send the PayPal — chips and guac are on me!
Thanks so much,
Adam Nathan
CEO & Founder of Blaze
What do you think of Alan’s email strategy here? Have you used something similar to drive more reviews? Let me know!
P.S. What do you do to drive more reviews? Do you ask for them in an email sequence like this? Let me know!
